WHY IT'S AWESOME? One of the most famous mines for quartz is the Ron Coleman Mine in Arkansas, USA. From this mine some of the most spectacular, largest and most expensive pieces of quartz have been found - with the most expensive being worth around $3.5 million dollars, whoa! Nice one Ron! But don't worry - you don't need to spend nearly that much to get yourself a beautiful quartz specimen from our shop.
Tribes in North America have revered it as a powerful sacred stone and treated it with great respect as one of their talismans. First Nations call it the brain cells of Grandmother Earth. In ancient Rome, the wealthy would carry crystal balls during hot weather because they believed the stones had cooling properties. The Japanese have always called Clear Quartz Tama meaning perfect jewel, and it’s also noted in Hindu legends for its purifying qualities.
