WHAT IS AFGHANISTAN JADE? Formed by molten lava with the earth (making it an igneous rock), Afghanistan Jade (bowenite) is a kind of serpentine stone. Serpentine stones are made with transformative process of heat, water at low temperatures that oxidizing the material creating patterns that resemble snake skin.
WHY IT'S AWESOME? Afghanistan Jade is also known as serpentine. Serpentine translates to a serpent or snake. Snakes are recorded through millenium to be associated with healers and magical things. In ancient times healers used Afghanistan Jade crystals as an antidote for snake bites. In Chinese culture, Jade was worn both in life and in death by people in positions of authority.
