WHAT IS TOURMALINATED QUARTZ? Tourmalinated Quartz is a combination of Clear Quartz with inclusions of Black Tourmaline rods growing through it. This stone is formed when black tourmaline and liquid quartz combine at high pressure and temperatures. The tourmaline needles get trapped inside the crystal quartz. Black Tourmaline is also known as Schorl.
WHY IT'S AWESOME? Some of the oldest possible tools found have been early primitive tools found that were made by man of Tourmalinated Quartz dating back 2.5 million years ago. These tools were found in Ethiopia and made by Hominids. Hominids belong to the family of modern and extinct Great Apes. This was a stone of great strength which is why it was chosen.
